Introducing the
Handy Saw Mini Chainsaw

It’s the compact, portable, powerful, battery operated mini chainsaw, that puts the power of a professional pruning saw in the palm of your hand – taking the hard work out of yard work! Don’t let the small size of the Handy Saw fool you, it is capable of serious work whether that be managing overgrown vegetation or some DIY work around the deck.

Therefore, always keep Safety foremost and treat your Handy Saw with maximum respect. Remove the battery whenever you are not working with the tool and wear the Safety Glasses whenever you are cutting.

Before First Use
The Handy Saw comes with a small amount of chain-oil on the chain however it is important to fill the chain-oil reservoir before starting any project. At the same time fully charge the battery before first use. It comes partly charged being the best state to transport batteries in.

For Best Results and maximum battery life maintain correct chain tension.
Always remove the battery when adjusting the Chain tension. The Handy Saw uses a tool-free chain tensioning system. Maintaining correct chain tension maximises chain life, reduces wear on the chain bar and reduces the potential for kick-back. When correctly tensioned the chain should sit in the channel of the chain-bar with no space between the chain and the chain-bar. As an indication when you release the trigger i.e., stop the motor, the chain should continue to move for a moment. If the chain is too tight it will stop immediately. A loose chain will not be fully sitting in the chain-bar channel.

To adjust the chain tension first loosen the Twist-Lock Cover to release pressure on the Outer rotating tension-adjustment ring. Adjust the chain tension by rotating the ring clockwise to tighten or anti-clockwise to loosen. Then retighten the Twist-Lock Cover.

Handy Saw Operation
Ensure the User is wearing appropriate Safety wear especially Eye protection, and Safety shoes or boots that give good stability. First check that the chain-oil reservoir is full, and that the chain tension is correct. Now press the chain-oil bulb to prime the chain-oil distribution.

Bring the chain into contact with the workpiece before starting the Handy Saw.

Grip the Handy Saw with your thumb on the Safety button and your fingers on the ON/OFF switch, then pull the trigger to start the chain. Apply steady pressure to the Handy Saw using the handle-grip and handle on top of the Handy Saw. Continue sawing until the workpiece is sawn.
