Introducing the
Unboxing and Setting Up
Please read the Instructions in your Manual before using your Total Gym FIT for the first time. Your TG FIT is supplied fully assembled. It is shipped horizontally in the storage position with Accessories and attachments packed in and around the Total Gym. The shipping carton is like a shoe box, it has a lid with deep sides which is the first piece of packaging to be removed. Next, cut the tape holding the packaging at each end of the Total Gym which will allow you to fold the bottom carton flat. This removes the need to lift the Total Gym out of the box. Follow the Instructions printed on the Outside of the Carton lid or watch the TG FIT video via the QR Code printed on the lid. There are also complete instructions in the Manual.

Please note these videos show an older model but the Safety Steps and principles are the same. Your level of fitness and experience with exercise machines will determine at what height on the Resistance Tower you start working out, for best results start low and perfect your form before increasing the resistance.

Progression
The No. 1 reason why the Total Gym system is so popular after 50 years is versatility. There are other good reasons as well but, irrespective of the User, your Total Gym FIT can deliver the type of Workout most appropriate for your health and fitness Goals for the rest of your life. In addition to the 80 plus exercises available in the Training Deck and Wall Chart there are a wealth of exercises and Workouts available free on You Tube. Search for “Maria Sollon total gym” as an example.
In addition to the huge range of different Resistance exercises and Workouts available the Total Gym FIT can also be used for a Cardio workout. Simply increase the number of exercise repetitions at a lower resistance level, or you could focus on range of movement and flexibility with stretches and Pilates exercises. Of course, were you to unfortunately experience an accidental injury then the Total Gym FIT is the perfect equipment to regain strength and fitness for the injured muscles while maintaining unaffected muscles at their current level. It is also possible to replicate movement patterns from your favourite sport such as golf, tennis, swimming etc. and train for these sports.
Additional Accessories
The Total Gym FIT is a complete system suitable for Resistance, Cardio or Flexibility workouts, you simply choose the most appropriate for your goals. That said, if you want to step your training up a level you can maximise the potential of the Total Gym FIT with the addition of Accessories which can be purchased through the website or contact Customer Service via the email addresses below.
Weight Bar
Without exception this is the best value accessory for the TG FIT. With the addition of resistance bands or weights it can expand your levels of Resistance to infinite levels. Plate weights are readily available or make your own from containers (filled with sand or water) attached with loops.
XL Squat Stand
Approx. 50% bigger than the standard oval Squat Stand, the XL gives more options for feet positions to target different muscles. The larger area is excellent for plyometric exercises.
Press Up Bars
Attaching these at the foot end of your Total Gym removes the need to swap over your 2-piece wing attachments from the Resistance Tower end. This allows for a more seamless workout plus if you combine them with a Weight Bar, they are perfect for attaching resistance bands.
Cyclo Trainer 2
Cycling is highly recommended to maintain healthy knees. Also great for a cardio warm up the Cyclo Trainer 2 takes much less space than a stationary bike and you’re not risking life and limb on the road or combatting the weather. Includes a DVD with progressive workouts.
